I don't know how strong this movement is in Australia. The Eureka Stockade was a seminal moment in Australian history. I'm not sure that I can remember when it was though. Shameful. UPDATE -- it was 1854. There's a book by Raffaello Carboni, called 'The Eureka Stockade', which provides 'a vivid and vigorous narrative of the conflict'.
