Slightly Saltirical
This sign was adorning the footpath in High St on the 25th January 2011. I only like whisky in a Whisky Sour. That doesn't seem to be in keeping at all with the spirit of the occasion. I still haven't had any haggis*. I am not fond of offal.
Just under a month after this photograph was taken Christchurch had a powerful earthquake. This part of High St (by the Excelsior) is now in 'Limboland'.
* An update. I have had haggis and it is quite tasty. However I haven't tried it out of a tin. It looks a bit too much like catfood. I had a tin of Grant's haggis and I did indeed give it to my cats.
** Another update. I have had more haggis. It is actually very tasty though perhaps it could be said that it is a little trying on the digestive system. And I rarely have a whisky sour these days as my palate has developed a bit and I leave the sour out.
