You are a child of the universe, and the sun, and the stars. There's no escaping your destiny. It is written. It has a lot to do with the Big Bang theory and DNA. I suppose nobody remembers Fred Hoyle and his Steady State theory of the universe, or that the Ancient Greeks thought that humans were born from the implantation of a tiny human seed in a uterus. It made sense.

I believe there is no supernatural force governing our days. How the notion that there is has gained such a foothold in our thinking I do not comprehend. The concept of worship sickens me. I like the idea of Bertrand Russell's teapot (perfect, completely indifferent, coldly in orbit somewhere) though. That seems infinitely more probable and templeworthy.
However, I have always enjoyed the work (?) of Suzanne White. I was given 'Suzanne White's Book of Chinese Chance' for my twentieth birthday by Cynthia, my flatmate. It is a very entertaining read and contains a little summary for all the 'combos' of East and West. Mine reads: 'More conviction and rigour than other Dogs enjoy can make this earth/metal subject into a veritable goldmine of talent and execution. Taureans are sensitive from the inside out. Dogs tend to be the opposite. It's a lucky combination of signs. Nothing can discourage a determined Taurus. The diffident Dog will benefit from the  injection of resolve. Taureans are sensual, they love a bawdy joke, revel in a good time. The Dog's cool exterior may take on a warmer glow. Never actually outgoing and bold, but more so than if he were not endowed with the Taurean's ribaldry, this Dog subject will not be as critical of 'foolishness' as his kennel mates.'
Could be right. I like the goldmine bit--I often quote it. It's a fair comment.

This cup is no more after the 22nd February earthquake. I'm a bit sad about that.
