Tea and an Ascot

Jan 1974, Woodlands, Boree Creek. N.O. Alexander, J.O. Alexander, D.C."Mick' Hopwood.
The wheat harvest was still a slowish affair in the 1970s. The header (probably an International Harvester) was towed by the tractor rather than being the massive all-in-one air-conditioned self-drive GPS-guided affair that it is today. The chaser bin wasn't a feature of the '70s either, as far as I know. There were augers, and old Bedford trucks and chaff by the mile, and unreliable hydraulics and highly-strung header combs. Or, in other words, a lot of things to go wrong.
Anyway, it was hard, hot, dusty tiring work. Afternoon tea always went down a treat.
